Honda is set to unveil a new electric urban vehicle concept at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed, which kicks off next month in the UK. Dubbed the Super EV, the new concept is positioned as a fresh take on A-segment electric mobility and appears to be a near-production-ready successor to the now-discontinued Honda e.

While Honda has not shared technical details, the Super EV’s design clearly leans into compact practicality with a blend of futuristic cues and nostalgic proportions. The five-door hatchback exhibits a boxy silhouette, drawing visual comparisons to the Nissan Cube, but with smoother surfacing and a cleaner aesthetic. At the front, a fully enclosed grille integrates the vehicle’s charging port and sits between two circular headlights—a nod to the original Honda e. Vertical air curtains and a curvaceous bumper complete the fascia.
From the side, the Super EV features an upright windscreen, subtle bulging fenders, and slender pillars, all contributing to a compact yet spacious cabin feel. A flat roofline enhances headroom while adding to the vehicle's practical appeal—typical of A-segment city cars.

Although Honda has kept mechanical and performance specifications under wraps, the company describes the concept as “a small, sporty model” that combines driving fun with everyday usability. The Super EV has reportedly undergone feasibility testing in the UK, which is part of a broader global development program—a strong indication that a production version may not be far off.
Given that the original Honda e earned praise for its design but faced criticism for its limited range and premium price point, the Super EV may represent a course correction. By offering increased practicality, an expanded feature set, and possibly improved affordability, Honda could re-enter the urban EV segment more competitively.

Alongside the Super EV, Honda will use the Goodwood platform to showcase a range of upcoming and current products. The Honda 0 SUV prototype, a vehicle previewing Honda’s future EV direction, will make its European debut at the event. It will be accompanied by two smaller electric mobility concepts—the EV Fun (an electric motorcycle) and EV Urban (a compact electric scooter)—highlighting Honda’s broader commitment to electrification across vehicle categories.
