From now on, all of HP's consumer devices will fall under the "Omni" naming scheme.
Along with launching new Copilot+ laptops running Windows 11 and based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite CPU, HP has announced that it is streamlining its consumer and commercial PC brand structure in a major effort to simplify its product lineup. The company will no longer release products under existing brand names including Spectre, Pavilion, and Dragonfly, and will instead adopt new prefixes across its lineups.
From now on, all of HP's consumer devices will fall under the "Omni" naming scheme, with laptops called "OmniBook," desktops called "OmniDesk," and all-in-ones called "OmniStudio." The rebranding pays homage to HP's first laptops, the OmniBook series, which was introduced in 1993.

HP OmniBook X
The HP OmniBook X AI PC and HP EliteBook Ultra AI PC are the first new models to be launched with the new brand name. They are also HP's first AI PCs built on the Snapdragon X Elite platform with an integrated neural processing unit (NPU) capable of 45 trillion operations per second. They were announced as part of Microsoft's Copilot+ announcement at its AI Vision Event.
The Snapdragon silicon allows the PCs to run advanced AI models directly on the device for enhanced performance. Both thin-and-light machines use recycled aluminium chasses and are designed for creativity and productivity enhancements through AI tools like HP AI Companion and Poly Camera Pro with auto-framing and background blur. Based on the Arm architecture, the new PCs also promise battery life of up to 26 hours.
HP is positioning the OmniBook X as a device for tech-savvy freelancers and mobile professionals, while the EliteBook Ultra adds durability and security features for commercial customers. The EliteBook Ultra also has commercial security features like HP Wolf Pro Security.
The HP OmniBook X AI PC starts at $1,199 (approximately Rs. 99,820 before taxes), while the HP EliteBook Ultra AI PC starts at $1,699 (approximately Rs. 1,41,445). Both are available for pre-order now in the US and will ship on June 18th.
In addition, HP has also introducing a new "HP AI Helix" logo for AI-enabled PCs. It signifies PCs with integrated AI capabilities, and the two new laptops - the HP OmniBook X and HP EliteBook Ultra, will debut with this emblem.
