The Alcazar facelift will launch in India on September 9.
Hyundai India has just revealed the Alcazar facelift, which is set to be launched in India on September 9. At the moment, the South Korean manufacturer has only shared the exterior of the Alcazar and the interior is expected to be revealed in the coming days. Hyundai India has also opened bookings for the Alcazar for a token amount of ₹25,000.
The Alcazar is expected to have a cabin design similar to the facelifted Creta that was introduced in January of this year. Expect the Alcazar to borrow the dashboard from the Creta facelift with a similar twin-screen layout with two 10.25-inch displays, one for the infotainment and one for the virtual cluster. It is also likely to get a dual-tone interior, leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, rear AC vents, a wireless charger, a Bose-tuned audio system and more.
In terms of safety, expect the Alcazar to come with six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, hill start assist, rear disc brakes, three-point seat belts with reminders for all seats, and ISOFIX anchorages as standard.
The Alcazar is expected to be priced between ₹16 - 24 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and rivals the likes of the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700.
Like the Creta, the Alcazar will also get Hyundai’s ADAS suite. Furthermore, it will get a connected car tech called Hyundai Blue Link. Like the outgoing model, it will also get six- and seven-seat configurations.
The Alcazar will get a slightly different design compared to the Creta. It will have an H-pattern LED DRLs, similar to the Exter, but will also get a full-width LED light bar. It will also come with a new grille, front and rear bumpers, 18-inch alloy wheels, and H-pattern LED taillamps. The Alcazar will also get a new Robust Emerald Matte colour option.
It will continue to be powered by a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It will also get a 1.5-litre diesel engine that will be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Hyundai India will offer the Alcazar in four trims – Executive, Prestige, Platinum and Signature.
