Hyundai India has announced that the Creta facelift will launch in India on January 16, 2024, and ahead of that, it has revealed the exterior design through some sketches. The Creta facelift uses Hyundai’s global design language ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ and can be seen with a more boxy-looking front-end.
With the facelift, the Creta now gets a more squared-off grille with insets similar to the grille on the Tucson facelift revealed globally late last year. The bumper is also new and has a more prominent-looking faux skid plate. It continues with a split-headlight design with LED daytime running lights (DRLs) spanning the Creta's width and getting two inverted L-shaped lighting signatures.
At the back, the Creta facelift gets a full-width LED lightbar with the same inverted L-shaped lighting signatures as the front. The tailgate, spoiler and bumper have a new design with a more upright stance and the reverse light has been moved to the centre of the bumper, as seen in the sketches.
While the profile of the Creta facelift is not visible in the sketches, it can be seen that the upcoming SUV will get a new alloy wheel design. However, there seem to be no major changes to the profile of the Creta facelift.
The Creta facelift gets a new dashboard with a twin-screen layout. It gets a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen along with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The Creta facelift will also get features like an 8-speaker Bose speaker system, an in-built JioSaavn app with a 1-year subscription, tyre pressure monitoring system, dual-zone climate control, 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated seats and more.
Safety features on the Creta facelift include 19 ADAS features, six airbags, disc brakes on all four wheels, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera, blind-view monitor and Hyundai claims the body structure has been strengthened for better rigidity and safety.
The Creta facelift will continue with a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The turbo-petrol engine makes a comeback but this time, it’s the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that debuted on the Verna. Head here to know more about it.
