HMIL utilised rail freight for 100 per cent of its vehicle dispatches to the North-East region, leveraging Indian Railways' extensive network for eco-friendly transportation.
Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and COO– Hyundai Motor India Limited said, “As the Government of India continues to upgrade the rail infrastructure with dedicated freight corridors and modern & energy-efficient rolling stock, ensuring faster movement of goods, HMIL remains committed to utilizing rail freight to optimise its logistic operations, leading to a long-term reduction in emissions.”
Over the past four years (CY 2021-2024), HMIL has dispatched 5,37,499 units via rail, effectively preventing 63,452 tons of CO2 emissions.
