The Hyundai Exter Knight also debuts three exclusive colours: Abyss Black, Shadow Grey and Shadow Grey with an Abyss black roof
Hyundai’s entry-level SUV, the Exter, completes one year of production. Moreover, the badge is also nearing its one-lakh sales mark, as in just one year Hyundai India has sold 93,000 units of the Micro SUV already. So, to commemorate this momentous occasion Hyundai India has launched the new Exter Knight Edition.
Just like its elder sibling the Creta Knight, the new Hyundai Exter Knight also gets an exclusive black aesthetic treatment and in the process debuts three new colour options – Abyss Black, Shadow Grey and Shadow Grey with Abyss black roof. Interestingly, alongside these new dual-tone colour options, the Hyundai Exter Knight will also be available with the 5 existing monotone colours – Starry Night, Atlas White, Ranger Khaki, and Ranger Khaki with Abyss black roof -- that is available with the variants SX and SX(O) Connect, that it is based on.
Mechanically, The Exter Knight will continue with the same powertrain options as well i.e. the 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine with the choice of either a 5-speed manual gearbox or Hyundai’s SmartAuto AMT gearbox. Prices for the same start from ₹8.38 lakh and go up to ₹10.43 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi).
Some of the key highlights of the Hyundai Exter Knight include sporty-looking black painted side sill garnish, red accent on the front bumper and tail light, along with red front brake callipers housed inside new 15-inch black alloy wheels (this is restricted to the SX(O) Connect only), and the usual ‘Knight’ emblem as well on the tailgate.
Just like the exterior, the cabin also benefits from exclusive black treatment with red accents and stitching, along with red footwell lighting. The door handles and the steering wheel gets a black satin treatment, along with the ‘Knight’ emblem embroidered on the seat upholstery with red stitching.
