Hyundai Ioniq 5 Gets New Colour Options In India

Hyundai India has updated the Ioniq 5 electric vehicle, giving it new exterior and interior colour options. The Ioniq 5 gains a new Titan Grey colour option and a new Obsidian Black interior theme. Despite the update, the Ioniq 5 continues to be available for ₹46.05 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and can be booked by paying a token amount of ₹1 lakh. 

The Ioniq 5 is now available in four colour options – Titan Grey, Gravity Gold Metallic, Optic White and Midnight Black Pearl. Along with the new Obsidian Black interior theme, the Ioniq 5 is available with the existing Dark Pebble Grey option as well. Customers now have the option of selecting either of the interior themes with any of the four exterior colour options, taking the total number of combinations to eight, up from the existing three. 

Hyundai’s flagship EV packs a 72.6 kWh battery that gives it an ARAI-certified range of 631 km on a single charge. It has a single electric motor on the rear axle that produces 215 bhp and 350 Nm. The Ioniq 5 supports up to 350 kW DC fast charger that helps charge the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in 18 minutes. 

The Ioniq 5 rivals the likes of the Volvo XC40 Recharge (₹54.95 - 57.90 lakh), Kia EV6 (₹60.95 - 65.95 lakh) and the BMW iX1 (₹66.90 lakh).
