Compared to the standard W175, the W175 Street gets alloy wheels, tubeless tyres and new colour options.
Kawasaki has launched the W175 Street at India Bike Week 2023. The retro roadster is priced at ₹1.35 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom) and joins the standard W175 in the brand’s lineup. We expected Kawasaki to launch the W230 retro roadster and the Eliminator 450 cruiser at India Bike Week but the Japanese manufacturer only launched another variant of the 177 cc retro roaster.

Compared to the standard W175, the Street gets 17-inch alloy wheels covered in tubeless tyres and two new paint schemes. The W175 Street gets Candy Emerald Green and Metallic Moondust Grey colour options. Apart from these, the two bikes are identical to each other.

The W175 Street is powered by a 177 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 13 bhp and 13.2 Nm of torque. The Kawasaki gets a 5-speed gearbox and a 12.1-litre fuel tank. It rides on a double cradle steel chassis suspended off a conventional front fork setup and twin shocks at the rear. Braking duties are handled by 245 mm front disc brakes and 110 mm drums at the rear.

Compared to the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 which is priced between ₹1.50 lakh and ₹1.75 lakh (ex-showroom), the W175 Street is ₹15,000 more affordable than the base-spec Hunter 350. However, the Hunter has an engine twice the size of the Kawasaki and produces 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm. Along with more power, the Hunter also gets bigger brakes and a slightly bigger fuel tank.
