India’s First Tesla-Approved Body Shop Opens in Pune

Tesla India has launched its first Tesla-Approved Body Shop in Pune, expanding its after-sales service infrastructure to support electric vehicle owners across Maharashtra.

The new facility provides direct access to genuine replacement parts, software-aware diagnostic tools, and certified technicians trained in collision repair and maintenance to preserve vehicle safety and performance standards. By establishing local service capabilities in Pune, Tesla aims to reduce repair downtime and offer streamlined support to growing customer communities across the region.

Alongside the service expansion, Tesla India has opened public test drive slots in Pune for its 2026 Model Y lineup, featuring the Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive and the six-seater Model Y L. Customers can book test drive appointments through Tesla's official website or via a toll-free helpline.

The Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive, priced at ₹50,89,000 (ex-showroom), offers up to 500 km of WLTP range, and a claimed 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 5.9 seconds. Positioned as an all-wheel-drive family SUV, the three-row Model Y L starts at ₹61,99,000. The variant delivers up to 681 km of WLTP range, and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds.
