The British luxury carmaker, owned by Tata Motors, sold 79,300 units on a wholesale basis.
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) reported a 15.3 per cent year-on-year decline in retail sales for the first quarter of FY27, with deliveries falling to 80,000 units as supply constraints and weaker demand affected performance.
Wholesale volumes also declined during the quarter. The British luxury carmaker, owned by Tata Motors, sold 79,300 units on a wholesale basis, down 9.2 per cent from the corresponding period last year.
The automaker said a fire at a key component supplier temporarily disrupted production during the quarter, limiting vehicle availability.
Sales were also affected by market disruption linked to the conflict in the Middle East, as well as the planned run-down of older Jaguar models ahead of the launch of the Type 01.
Despite the overall decline, JLR's three strongest-selling models, the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Defender, accounted for 80.8 per cent of wholesale volumes during the quarter, compared with 77.2 per cent a year earlier.
At its investor day last month, JLR said it would prioritise growth in the US as it looks to offset continued weakness in China, historically one of its largest markets.
China, once a major driver of growth for the company, has become increasingly difficult for international manufacturers because of slowing economic activity and intense competition from domestic automakers.
JLR has announced plans to reduce costs by $2.3 billion over the next two years as part of its broader strategy to improve profitability.
