The special edition is positioned as a collector's piece rather than a volume product.
Jeep India has sold out its Wrangler Rubicon Whitecap Edition, with all 25 units allocated to customers within weeks of launch, the company said. Priced at ₹73.55 lakh (ex-showroom), the special edition was positioned as a collector's piece rather than a volume product, and deliveries through authorised dealerships are expected by the end of this month.
The sell-out arrives during Jeep India's tenth anniversary year and adds a symbolic marker to a milestone the brand has been keen to mark. For a company operating in a small but growing premium SUV niche, moving an entire limited run at a price point well above the standard Wrangler Rubicon signals that a segment of Indian buyers is willing to pay for exclusivity rather than just capability.

The Whitecap trades on Jeep's history rather than new engineering. It takes its name and styling cues from the CJ-Universal's Arctic White top, a visual signature from the brand's earlier decades, reworked here with a Bright White painted hardtop, a matching seven-slot grille, Whitecap-specific graphics and exterior detailing. It was offered in a single colour, Mojito Green, underlining its billing as a one-off rather than a regular trim.
Kumar Priyesh, Business Head & Director – Automotive Brands at Stellantis India, said the response "has been exceptional and further demonstrates the strong emotional connection Indian customers share with the Jeep brand." He added that the edition "was conceived as a limited-production collector's edition, inspired by Jeep's iconic design DNA and created for customers who value exclusivity and distinction," and that its full allocation "reflects both the enduring appeal of the Wrangler and the growing appreciation for rare Jeep vehicles among enthusiasts in India."
Priyesh indicated the company sees the Whitecap as a template rather than a closed chapter. "The first 25 vehicles will remain a highly exclusive chapter in the Whitecap story, while the strength of customer interest is encouraging us to explore how we could bring this distinctive expression of Wrangler back to India in the future," he said.
For Jeep, whose India volumes remain modest compared with mass-market SUV makers, such limited runs serve a dual purpose: they generate buzz disproportionate to unit numbers, and they help justify premium positioning in a market where the brand competes less on scale and more on heritage and off-road credibility. Buyers of the 25 units also join what the company describes as a global community of Whitecap owners, a detail aimed at reinforcing brand loyalty beyond the point of sale.
Whether Jeep brings a similar edition back to India will depend on how the broader Wrangler range performs through the rest of its anniversary year.
