Jio has launched JioMotive, a smart OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) device that can transform any car into a smarter, safer and more connected vehicle within minutes. Priced at Rs 4,999, the JioMotive is a plug-and-play device that can be purchased online from JioMart or Reliance Digital.
This OBD device connects to a car's onboard computer and can monitor various performance parameters in real-time. JioMotive taps into a car's self-diagnostic system to provide insights into battery health, engine load, coolant temperature and more - helping car owners avoid expensive repairs through preventive maintenance.
JioMotive also adds a suite of smart features designed for security and convenience. Features such as Geo-fencing allow users to set virtual boundaries and get alerts when the car exits designated areas. The device monitors driving patterns and alerts the driver about speeding or harsh braking episodes that compromise safety. JioMotive can even detect towing or tampering attempts and alert the owner right away through the smartphone app.
The built-in WiFi hotspot offers connectivity on the move, allowing multiple devices to access high-speed internet during long journeys. The eSIM functionality enables JioMotive to share data seamlessly with the user's existing Jio mobile connection without needing a separate SIM.
Additional highlights include real-time tracking, trip analysis with driving behaviour insights, time-fencing to secure the vehicle during designated hours, crash and theft detection alerts and more.
JioMotive aims to make any car, old or new, smarter, safer and more connected on the road. JioMotive is now available for purchase on JioMart and select Reliance Digital outlets across India.
