The automaker’s performance in FY25 continues a strong upward trajectory that has seen retail sales more than double over the past two years. The final quarter of the fiscal was particularly robust, with JLR India achieving its highest-ever quarterly sales. Retail figures in Q4 FY25 reached 1,793 units, a 110 per cent increase over the same period last year, while wholesales rose by 118 per cent to 1,710 units.
The company attributed the sustained momentum to steady demand across its product portfolio. The Defender led the sales chart, registering a 90 per cent increase year-on-year. The locally assembled Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models also contributed significantly to the company’s performance, posting growth rates of 72 per cent and 42 per cent, respectively.

The luxury car segment saw healthy momentum, with Mercedes-Benz Group selling 17,715 units (up from 15,743), and BMW India growing from 13,680 to 14,966 units. Audi India faced a 26.7 per cent decline in retail sales, with total deliveries standing at 5,816 units, while the brand witnessed a strong recovery in Q4 2024, with a 36 per cent rise over the previous quarter.
