Singer Daler Mehndi Purchases Mahindra’s Flagship XEV 9e

Daler Mehndi has taken delivery of the new Mahindra XEV 9e electric SUV. The milestone handover was officially showcased on Mahindra’s dedicated electric vehicle Instagram handle, welcoming the famous singer into the brand's growing EV family.

The XEV 9e serves as the premium flagship in the Born Electric line-up of the manufacturer, built on the advanced INGLO skateboard architecture. It features a distinct five-door coupe-SUV silhouette and enters the market with prices starting at ₹21.90 lakh (ex-showroom).

The electric vehicle is available with two battery choices: a 59 kWh and a larger 79 kWh blade Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) pack, paired with a rear-mounted electric motor that delivers up to 282 bhp of power and 380 Nm of peak torque. On the official MIDC cycle, the vehicle offers a driving range of up to 656 km on a single charge.

The tech-heavy cabin is highlighted by a triple-screen dashboard configuration, featuring three 12.3-inch digital displays tailored for the driver, central infotainment, and the front co-passenger.

Additional comfort features include a premium 16-speaker, 1,400W Harman Kardon sound system, a panoramic sunroof, and a wireless phone charger. On the safety front, the SUV comes equipped with seven airbags, Level 2 ADAS capabilities, a 360-degree camera system, and a top-tier five-star crash test rating from Bharat NCAP.

For Mahindra, this association helps move the conversation around its new electric architecture from technical specifications into mainstream lifestyle appeal.
