Rather than treating suppliers as downstream vendors, the company is working to position them as long-term development partners.
JSW Motors Limited has hosted its first Supplier Partner Conference & Tech Show at its manufacturing facility in Bidkin, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, in a move aimed at strengthening the supplier ecosystem ahead of its upcoming new energy vehicle programmes. The event, organised in association with the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), brought together senior leaders from supplier firms, industry stakeholders and internal teams.
The conference was positioned as an important step in JSW Motors’ broader effort to build a future-ready automotive ecosystem in India. More than 100 auto-component business houses participated, reflecting the company’s focus on localisation and supply-chain development. JSW Motors said the event was designed to give potential partners a clearer view of its product and technology roadmap, while also aligning expectations as the company moves closer to its first launch.
Ranjan Nayak, CEO of JSW Motors Limited, said, “At JSW Motors, we believe that building world-class mobility solutions requires a strong and future-ready supplier ecosystem. The first ever Supplier Conference & Tech Show reflects our commitment to collaborative growth, technology excellence and supply chain resilience. JSW Motors is months away from its first launch.”
The event included leadership presentations, strategic business discussions and a technology showcase focused on automotive components, including design, development, manufacturing and next-generation technologies. The format was intended not only to inform suppliers, but also to deepen engagement and encourage knowledge-sharing across the ecosystem. That approach appears central to JSW Motors’ strategy. Rather than treating suppliers as downstream vendors, the company is working to position them as long-term development partners.
ACMA President Vikrampati Singhania welcomed the initiative and said it marked an important step toward building a resilient mobility ecosystem in India. He pointed out that the shift toward new energy vehicles makes suppliers more strategic than ever, since they need early clarity on product plans, technology direction and scale in order to invest wisely and build capabilities.

JSW Motors said it is pursuing a “glocal” automotive ecosystem, combining domestic manufacturing capabilities with access to global technologies. The company’s goal is to develop vehicles tailored for Indian market needs while strengthening local value creation and building agile, resilient supply chains.
The company, established in 2024 as part of the diversified JSW Group’s entry into passenger mobility, is preparing to launch next-generation electric vehicles from its upcoming greenfield plant in Maharashtra. With the supplier conference now concluded, JSW Motors appears to be laying the groundwork for a more coordinated push into India’s evolving EV market.
