Škoda has released exterior design sketches of the Peaq, its forthcoming all-electric flagship SUV, ahead of its world premiere in France on 23 June.

Škoda Auto has previewed the exterior design of the all-new Peaq through a set of sketches, giving the clearest indication yet of how the Czech brand’s Modern Solid design language will translate to its largest electric SUV. The Peaq is scheduled for its world premiere in Monnetier-Mornex, France, at 18:25 on 23 June, with the model positioned as a major step in Škoda’s expanding battery-electric portfolio.

The sketches place emphasis on a cleaner and more upright SUV stance, led by slender T-shaped headlights, a gloss-black Tech-Deck Face and a connecting element that creates a frame-like loop motif across the nose. Škoda describes the front bumper as Volcano-shaped, with a pronounced lower contour and a strong horizontal line intended to give the vehicle a wider visual base.

Karl Neuhold, Head of Exterior Design at Škoda Auto, said the exterior applies the brand’s Modern Solid design language through “clean lines, balanced proportions and distinctive elements”. He added that the Peaq’s sculpted surfaces and structured detailing are intended to create a confident presence, while the T-shaped lighting signature and Tech-Deck Face signal “Škoda’s identity in a new electric era”.

The side profile appears to carry the proportions expected of a large family SUV, with a high shoulder line, wide D-pillars and flush door handles integrated into the bodywork. At the rear, the T-shaped tail-lights and connecting element repeat the loop motif from the front, giving Škoda a more consistent electric design signature across both ends of the vehicle.

Beyond the styling exercise, the Peaq is strategically important for Škoda. The company has earlier said the model will be based on the Vision 7S concept, use Volkswagen Group’s MEB electric platform and be produced in Mladá Boleslav. It is described as Škoda’s largest and most spacious model, measuring nearly 4.9 metres in length, with five- and seven-seat configurations and a claimed range of more than 600 km.

For global markets, the Peaq will push Škoda into the growing large electric SUV space, where packaging, range, charging speed and price positioning are becoming decisive. Competitors in Europe are expected to include models such as the Kia EV9, Hyundai Ioniq 9 and Peugeot E-5008, though Škoda’s traditional strength has been to offer Volkswagen Group technology with a more practicality-led, value-conscious positioning.

For India, the Peaq is better read as a strategic signal rather than a confirmed launch programme. Škoda Auto India currently sells the Kylaq, Slavia, Kushaq and Kodiaq, and has recently reported record momentum, including 20,028 units sold in Q1 2026 and 72,665 units in 2025.

A large electric SUV of this type would sit at the premium end of the Indian market if considered here, where pricing, homologation, charging access and localisation would all shape viability. The Peaq’s eventual role in India may therefore depend less on design appeal alone and more on how quickly Škoda can align global EV products with local cost structures, infrastructure realities and premium SUV demand.
