Kia India is all set to launch the EV9 electric SUV in India on October 3 and ahead of that, it has revealed all its specifications. The EV9 will be available in a single variant with only one powertrain and battery option on offer.
The EV9 will come with a 99.8 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 561 km (ARAI certified). It will get a dual motor setup with 379 bhp and 700 Nm, sending power to all four wheels which will allow it to do the 0-100 kmph run in 5.3 seconds.
Kia’s flagship SUV will be offered with the GT-Line AWD 6-seater variant in India, which means it will be loaded with features. It will get 64-colour ambient lighting, dual-pane sunroof, multiple drive and terrain modes, powered front & rear seat, a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 12.3-inch virtual instrument cluster, 5-inch HVAC control touchscreen, 14-speaker Meridian audio system, head-up display, wireless charger and more. It will also come with safety features like ADAS, 10 airbags, electronic stability control, all four disc brakes and more.
The EV9 will be offered in five exterior colours – Snow White Pearl, Ocean Blue, Pebble Grey, Panthera Metal and Aurora Black Pearl – and two interior themes – White with Black and Brown with Black. It will be offered with 20-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
While prices are yet to be revealed, expect the EV9 to be priced around ₹80 lakh. It will launch in India on October 3 along with the fourth-generation Carnival, which is expected to be priced around ₹60 lakh. All prices ex-showroom, India.
