Kia India is all set to launch the facelift of the Seltos compact SUV in the country. There has been a delay in bringing the car to the country but finally, it will be here by mid-July this year. This does mean that there will be quite a few updates to the car. The exterior will see a whole bunch of changes and that includes a new, redesigned front grille and also a set of new headlights as well. The maximum changes though are the rear where there are a new set of taillights which are joined together by an LED lightbar. The lightbar also houses the Kia badge.
The tailgate too has been redesigned. The profile of the car hasn’t changed. On the inside there will be two 10.25-inch screens – one for the infotainment and one for the instrument cluster - and both will give all the information you need from the car. It is also likely to come with a panoramic sunroof.
On the powertrain front it will receive a 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. Both these will be new engines which will comply with the new RDE norms. But there are likely to be changes on the transmission front. Expect the iMT and DCT options to be standard on the GDi and the CRDi engine options.
There are likely to be some new colours on offer as well, with the two-tone getting more options, but the Pluton Blue colour is not likely to make it to the line-up. The company has been updating its line-up in India and currently the Kia Seltos comes equipped with 4 airbags as standard. Kia had announced last year that the Carens would be equipped with 6 airbags as standard and now we will see that even in the Seltos facelift.
