The new variants are aimed at bringing down waiting periods for the Seltos.
Kia India announced that it has received an overwhelming response for the Seltos in just 2 months since the launch of the car. With bookings crossing the 50,000 mark, it looks like the ‘hit’ model for the company continues to assert its dominance in the Indian car market. The company has claimed that 77 per cent of the bookings have come in for the top-end variants and this means that the ADAS tech has been very well received in the country.

Given the surge in demand, Kia has now introduced two new variants in the top-end side. The company has launched the GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S), positioned between the premium HTX+ variant & GTX+ and X-Line variants. These variants fill the gap between the premium HTX+ variant and the GTX+ and X-Line models, aiming to reduce waiting times for customers.
Engine | Variant | Transmission | Ex-showroom Price |
---|---|---|---|
Smartstream G1.5 T-GDi Petrol | GTX+ (S) | 7DCT | ₹19.40 lakh |
X-Line (S) | ₹19.60 lakh | ||
1.5l CRDi VGT Diesel | GTX+ (S) | 6AT | ₹19.40 lakh |
X-Line (S) | ₹19.60 lakh |
The current waiting period for the Seltos is 15-16 weeks and with the launch of these new variants, the company mis looking to bring that down to 7-9 weeks. The GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S) variants will come with ADAS Level 2 with 17 autonomous features, R18 Crystal Cut Glossy Black alloy wheels, Electric Parking Brake with Auto Hold, and if customers want the roof lining to be all black then it will cost an additional Rs. 20,000.
Hardeep Singh Brar, National Head Sales and Marketing – Kia India, said, “These variants have been carefully designed for the tech-savvy customers who don’t want to compromise on the looks, tech and ADAS assisted safety systems but want quick delivery.”
