The launch of the 390 Adventure family will take place in early 2025.
If you were planning to ride down to IBW 2024 in Goa next month, then you will be in for a treat. One of the most hotly anticipated launches from Mattighofen – the KTM 390 Adventure R – will be showcased in all its glory in Vagator. Powered by the same new 399 cc mill that debuted with the 3rd-gen KTM 390 Duke, the upcoming KTM 390 Adventure is expected to set a new precedent in an already popular adventure segment in India.
For starters, the suspension components have been optimised and they feature more travel than before. In the KTM 390 Adventure R, these components will have fully adjustable settings as standard. The new tall Dakar-styled body had already captivated our dreams since its test mule days. In production spec, it looks all the more engaging, practical and useful. Right from that tall windscreen to its new face (read headlight design), and down to those raised handlebars and revised body panels. These changes aim to perfect the ADV’s character in being the ideal highway tourer as well as a proper off-roader as well.
More so, there are new features to toggle here as well. Besides the plethora of safety nannies like cornering ABS, supermoto ABS, traction control, launch control, etc – the 390 Adventure R also gets cruise control! Making it the first sub-400 cc KTM bike to debut this feature. The six-speed gearbox will also in all probability come with a bidirectional quickshifter and slip-and-assist clutch as standard.
However, with all these updates, the upcoming KTM 390 Adventure bikes are expected to command a slightly higher asking price. So somewhere between ₹3.25 to ₹3.65 lakh is what we wager. For more details, stay tuned for we will be bringing you all the latest details directly from IBW.
