KTM Launches Its MX And Off-Road Bikes In India, Prices Start At ₹4.75 Lakh Onwards

Motocross fans are in for a delight, for KTM has launched its MX range of off-road bikes in India. These are proper race-ready off-roaders that the Austrian bike maker races internationally and has won numerous championships with. The KTM 50 SX, 65 SX, and the 85 SX are all motocross bikes for kids. The underpinnings of both the 50 SX and the 65 SX are the same, wherein both the bikes employ 35 mm XACT WP USD fork and XACT WP monoshock. But the bigger 85 SX employs a 43 mm XACT WP USD fork and XACT WP PDS monoshock. As for their engine, the 50 SX is powered by a 49.9 cc engine, a 64 cc engine powers the 65 SX, and the 85 SX is powered by a 85 cc single-cylinder engine. Despite the smaller displacement, all engines also get a radiator for enhanced cooling. 

Just like the KTM 1390 Super Duke R, 1290 Super Adventure R, etc, these motocross and enduro bikes will also be brought to India via the CBU route directly from Austria. Which also explains the high asking price – to which it now remains to be seen how many takers the bike will have. However, considering these are serious machines, meant for proper adventures and racing, paying a pretty penny will help the riders go far in their motorsports ventures. So, needless to say, these are all not road-legal.
