Lava has made some interesting choices for the Blaze X, such as the 3D curved design and the Dimensity 6300 SoC.
Lava has launched the Blaze X as its latest budget offering in India. The Lava Blaze X goes up against the Redmi 13 and Vivo T3 Lite, to name a few. Lava has made some interesting choices for the Blaze X, such as the 3D curved design and the Dimensity 6300 SoC. However, it remains to be seen whether it will be able to attract buyers with its feature set and stock Android experience.
The Blaze X 5G features a 6.67-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels) and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Lava claims the Blaze X display offers a peak brightness of 800 nits and it also has an in-display fingerprint reader.
It measures 8.45mm in thickness and weighs 183g. The phone also boasts an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance.
Under the hood, the Blaze X is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and offered in three RAM configurations—4GB, 6GB, and 8GB—all paired with 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The Blaze X 5G runs on stock Android 14 out of the box, with Lava promising an upgrade to Android 15 and two years of security updates.
The Blaze X has a dual rear camera setup headlined by a 64-megapixel Sony primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, a 16-megapixel front-facing camera is housed in a punch-hole cutout.
The Blaze X has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.
Lava has priced the Blaze X 5G with the base 4GB RAM model starting at Rs 14,999, the 6GB variant at Rs 15,999, and the top-end 8GB version at Rs 16,999. The Blaze X will be available in two colours: Starlight Purple and Titanium Grey, with sales commencing from July 20 on Amazon and Lava e-store.
