Mahindra August 2026 Sales Up 42% YoY, 59,257 Passenger SUVs Sold in India

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd has announced its sales figures for the month of August 2026. Overall domestic and overseas sales across all vehicle categories, including passenger and light commercial vehicles, reached 1,07,648 units. This shows growth of 42 percent compared to the same month last year.

The company sold 59,257 passenger SUVs in the domestic market, which is approximately 50 percent higher than the 39,399 it managed in August 2025. The overall figure including exports is 61,167 units.

Domestic sales for commercial vehicles came to 27,415 units, also representing growth of 22 percent YoY. Light commercial vehicles under 2 tonnes accounted for 3,999 units, while the 2-3.5 tonne range registered 23,416 sales. Additionally, three-wheelers made up another 14,922 units sold. These figures include Mahindra’s electric offerings and the Bolero Maxx PUP series.

Total exports, including vehicles manufactured under the company’s subsidiary Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, were 6,054 units, up from 3,548 in the year-ago period, representing growth of 71 percent.

Providing context about the numbers, Dr Velusamy R, President, Automotive Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd said “In August, we achieved SUV sales of 59,257 units delivering growth of 50 percent, and total vehicle sales stood at 1,07,648, a 42 percent YoY growth. Demand continues to remain strong across our portfolio, with the updated Scorpio-N and BE 6 Sporteq receiving strong market response from customers. We look forward to building on this momentum during the festive season.”
