The BE 6e will be one of the two electric SUVs from Mahindra making their global debut on November 26.
Mahindra is all set to debut two new all-electric SUVs, the BE 6e and XEV 9e. With the two new e-SUVs, the Indian auto giant will also be launching two new sub-brands – BE and XEV. Let’s talk about the Mahindra BE 6e first and what we can expect about the new electric coupe SUV.
Of the two, the BE 6e will be smaller in size but only marginally. The BE 6e will have a more futuristic design language and will look more unconventional and radical. The BE 6e is likely to have similar ground clearance compared to the XEV 9e but BE 6e is expected to look more like a coupe with its sloping roofline.
The BE 6e will be based on Mahindra’s new INGLO platform which has been designed specifically for born-electric vehicles. This is the first time Mahindra is using a dedicated electric vehicle platform rather than using an ICE-to-EV conversion. The BE 6e is expected to come with up to 79 kWh battery with advanced Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) chemistry. It is also likely to come with up to 175 kW DC fast charging support and is expected to charge the battery from 20 - 80 per cent in around 20 minutes.
As for the design, the BE 6e will also get C-shaped LED DRLs up front with twin headlamps on either side. While the design of the rear is yet to be revealed and if the design concept is to be believed, the BE 6e is also likely to get C-shaped LED taillamps with a connected lightbar.
Inside, the BE 6e is expected to have a twin-screen layout, a two-tone steering wheel with touch-based buttons, a futuristic-looking dashboard with an aircraft-inspired drive selector and a rotary dial on the centre console. Expect the BE 6e to have an illuminated geometric pattern in the panoramic sunroof.
More will be revealed about the Mahindra BE 6e at its global premiere on November 26, 2024. Expect the BE 6e to be priced around ₹20 lakh and rival the likes of the Tata Curvv.ev, MG ZS EV and the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV.
