Mahindra Launches New Scorpio N Z8 Select Trim

The Mahindra Scorpio N has gained a new mid-spec trim level by the nomenclature Z8 Select.  It slots between the Z6 and Z8 trim levels and the the feature list is identical to the latter with some misses. Priced from ₹16.99 lakh to ₹18.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new Mahindra Scorpion Z8 Select trim is ₹1.11 lakh-₹1.65 lakh less than the Z8 trim, while ₹69,000 - ₹1.38 lakh higher than the Z6 trim.

The Misses

Unlike the Mahindra Scorpio N Z8 trim, the new Z8 Select trim misses out on 4WD, push button start, a tyre pressure monitor, dual-zone climate control, power-folding mirrors, and an automatic headlight.

The Matches

However, the new trim does share bits like the 17-inch diamond alloy wheels, LED lighting, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment, 7.0-inch TFT instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, sunroof, six airbags and much more. 

It is available with either 203 bhp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine or the 175 bhp, 2.2-litre diesel engine, with their respective 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options. In addition to that, Mahindra has also debuted a new “Midnight Black’ exterior colour option with the Z8 Select trim, which will also be available with other models too.
