The team aims to bounce back after a challenging start to the new Gen3 regulations in Season 9.
Mahindra Racing, the sole Indian team in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, has announced the signing of two accomplished drivers, Nyck De Vries and Edoardo Mortara, on multi-year contracts for Season 10 of the championship. The team aims to bounce back after a challenging start to the new Gen3 regulations in Season 9.
Nyck De Vries, the inaugural World Champion of Formula E Season 7, returns to the series after a stint in Formula 1 with Williams and Scuderia AlphaTauri. With four ePrix victories and a successful single-seater career, his experience is expected to be a valuable asset to the team. Edoardo Mortara, a Swiss-Italian driver, is another prominent addition to the team. After a career in karting and success in the Formula Three Euroseries, Mortara transitioned to Formula E in 2017 and quickly made an impact with podiums and victories.

Mahindra Racing CEO Frédéric Bertrand said, "I am delighted to welcome Edo and Nyck to the Mahindra Racing family. As a team, we are all embarking on a journey to bring Mahindra Racing back to the front of the grid in the coming years."
Notably, this new driver pairing reunites the two chief title contenders from Season 7, with Mortara finishing just seven points behind De Vries, the eventual World Champion. This signing marks a significant moment in Mahindra Racing's history, with a vision to return to championship contention in the upcoming years. The team plans to unveil a new livery for its cars before the season opener in Mexico City on January 13, 2024.
