The F 450 RR will be officially revealed on October 15.
BMW Motorrad has shared a teaser of an upcoming motorcycle on its social media handles. Based on the silhouette and the post-editing of the image, we think the upcoming motorcycle is the BMW F 450 RR. This will be the third offering after the BMW F 450 GS and the recently unveiled BMW F 450 R. The F 450 RR was also spotted undergoing testing on Indian roads as it will be manufactured by TVS at its Hosur facility.
The styling of the bike is heavily inspired by the BMW S 1000 RR, which honestly isn’t a bad thing. The front end seems to have a split LED headlight unit with a large windscreen above it to help with aerodynamics. One can also see a wing attached to the fairing, is it for aesthetics or does it have any actual impact on performance is something we shall find out post the official unveil. The fairing and tank form is sharp as expected from a supersport. The F 450 RR features a compact underbelly exhaust muffler and the tail section is very clean with integrated brake and indicator lights. We also expect the same TFT screen and rotary knob to be carried forward from the F 450 GS on the new BMW offering.

Underneath the fairing is the same 420 cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine as seen on the F 450 GS. It’s rated at 48.7 bhp at 8,750 rpm and 43 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm. A 135-degree crankpin offset and balance shaft are designed to give the twin a distinctive character while keeping it smooth. The F 450 RR uses a six-speed gearbox with a quickshifter being an optional extra as seen on its streetfighter sibling. We expect the bike to get electronic aids such as multiple ride modes, traction control, cornering ABS and Dynamic Brake Control.
The underpinnings too will be shared with the F 450 R which means it will feature a steel tubular space frame, with the engine acting as a load-bearing part. Suspension hardware consists of a 43 mm upside-down fork, while the rear uses an aluminium swingarm and a KYB monoshock. Adjustable rebound and compression damping USD will be offered in the top variant. Cast-aluminium wheels are wrapped around 110/70-17 front and 150/60-17 rear tyres.
The BMW F 450 RR is expected to make its global debut at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy scheduled in the first week of November. As for the India launch, the BMW supersport is likely to go on sale in the first half of 2027. It will compete against the Aprilia RS 457 and later the upcoming KTM RC 490.
