Mahindra’s unveiling of two new electric SUVs, the BE 6 and XEV 9e, has created excitement in the Indian car industry. The launch event, held in New Delhi, saw the presence of Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, and Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Piyush Goyal. Both ministers lauded Mahindra's latest vehicles' technological advancements and eco-friendly focus.
Nitin Gadkari, a vocal advocate of electric mobility, personally inspected the SUVs and praised the company’s achievements. Describing the Made-in-India BE 6 and XEV 9e as a "matter of pride and joy," Gadkari highlighted the growing prowess of Indian companies in the global automobile market. He commended Mahindra for leveraging state-of-the-art technology to set new standards in the EV sector.
Taking to social media, Gadkari shared his enthusiasm, stating, "Electric vehicles are the future. It is a matter of joy and pride to see Indian companies giving tough competition internationally with advanced technology. Congratulations and best wishes to all those working in this direction.”
Piyush Goyal echoed similar sentiments, emphasising the government’s focus on fostering innovation in the EV space. He remarked, "Under 'Make in India,' the Modi government is working to create the best EV ecosystem in the world!"
