Mahindra Scorpio N Crosses 1 Lakh Production Milestone

Mahindra & Mahindra launched the Scorpio N in India in June 2022, and in 19 months, the brand has produced 1 lakh units of the SUV. The Scorpio N is priced between ₹13.60 lakh - 24.54 lakh (ex-showroom, India). 

The Scorpio N competes with the likes of the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV700 and Hyundai Alcacar. In 2023, Mahindra managed to sell more units of the Scorpio N than it did of the XUV700. The Scorpio N managed to outsell all its other rivals in 2023. 

Under the hood, the Scorpio N has a 198 bhp, 380 Nm, 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 173 bhp, 400 Nm, 2.2-litre diesel engine. Both are mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. However, only the diesel engine comes with the four-wheel drive system. 

Recently, Mahindra hiked the prices of the Scorpio N by ₹39,000. This amount only applies to the top-spec Z8L MT 6-seater and Z8L diesel MT 2WD 6-seater variants. Other variants, such as the Z8L diesel AT 4WD 7-seater, Z8 diesel AT 4WD 7-seater, Z8L diesel MT 4WD 7-seater, Z8 diesel MT 4WD 7-seater, Z4 diesel AT 4WD 7-seater and Z4 diesel MT 4WD 7-seater, see a marginal price hike of ₹600.
