Total sales across the company's passenger and LCV ranges amounted to 94,627 units in April 2026.
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd has announced total sales of 94,627 units in April 2026 across its passenger and light commercial vehicle ranges, including domestic sales and exports. This represents growth of 14 percent YoY overall.
The company sold 56,331 passenger vehicles in India last month, including ICE and electric models, as opposed to 52,330 in April 2025, for an 8 percent year-on-year increase. All of them are classified as utility vehicles since Mahindra does not have any sedans, hatchbacks or vans in its current retail portfolio. With an additional 1,502 exports, the total came to 57,833 passenger vehicles.
Domestic sales for commercial vehicles stood at 23,427 units, with light commercial vehicles under 2 tonnes accounting for 2,984 units, or a 13 percent increase, and 2–3.5 tonne models selling 20,443 units, a 7 percent increase. Additionally, three-wheelers grew from 5,470 units in April last year to 9,899 units for an impressive 81 percent improvement.
This comes after the company also reported strong figures for passenger vehicle sales in March 2026.
Total exports for commercial and passenger vehicles combined stood at 4,970, an increase of 47 percent over the 3,381 units shipped abroad in April 2025.
In a press statement, Mahindra & Mahindra Automotive Division CEO Nalinikanth Gollagunta said "The year 2027 has begun on a positive note in April by achieving SUV sales of 56,331 units, a growth of 8 percent, and total vehicle sales of 94,627 units, a 14 percent growth over the same month last year."
