Unlike the 3-door Thar, the upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door looks have quite the premium appeal.
After several spy shots, unofficial images of the Mahindra Thar 5-door have leaked stirring an excitement among automotive enthusiasts. While Mahindra has not officially unveiled or confirmed the vehicle, these leaked photos suggest an intriguing design that could expand the popular Thar lineup.
The images showcase the longer Thar with additional doors, aimed at competing with other 5-door off-road vehicles in the market. The Thar's iconic rugged appearance is intact, with flared wheel arches, a redesigned front grille, and circular LED headlamps, which now have a distinct premium appeal. The rear maintains the same vertical tail lamps and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, suggesting continuity in design with the 3-door model while adding two doors.

Both earlier spy shots and these latest unofficial images have hinted at a spacious cabin that could cater to both comfort and utility. The second row is expected to provide ample room for passengers, complemented by a versatile boot space, making the new Thar more practical than ever. While official details are unavailable, speculations suggest that safety could be a priority for the potential Thar 5-door. Advanced safety features might include multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera system, front parking sensors, and four-wheel disc brakes.
While pricing and market positioning details remain speculative, when launched, which is most probably on August 15, the Mahindra Thar 5-door could be priced competitively between ₹15 - 20 lakh (ex-showroom). Moreover, Mahindra had also trademarked the name ‘Armada’ earlier, so there is also a possibility this might be the new Armada.
