Anand Mahindra has digitally revealed a specialised ATV for security forces based on the Thar Roxx.
Mahindra and Mahindra Chairperson Anand Mahindra has officially revealed a specialised All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) designed specifically for the requirements of security and armed forces. In a statement shared on social media, the industrialist highlighted the vehicle as a symbol of the brand's core engineering philosophy, focusing on resilience and adaptability in extreme environments.
The new Mahindra ATV is heavily based on the Thar Roxx SUV, inheriting the rugged chassis and off-road geometry of the popular five-door SUV. However, this military-grade version has been stripped of all civilian luxuries and ornamentation to prioritise mission-focussed capability and operational effectiveness.
The vehicle features several enhancements designed for survival in hostile terrains. According to the details provided, the ATV is equipped with:
-Full underbody protection and a front-mounted winch for self-recovery.
-Specialised mounts for airdrop readiness, allowing for rapid deployment.
-A dedicated gun mount and a windshield protector for added security.
-A tandem tyre carrier configuration and integrated jerrycan holders for long-range missions.

Mahindra noted that every bar and inch of clearance has been engineered to serve a specific job, ensuring the machine remains versatile across diverse landscapes.
While the unveiling is quite interesting, the company has maintained a strict focus on the vehicle's utility for security forces. As of now, there has been no mention of the ATV becoming commercially available for the general public. Furthermore, Mahindra has also not specified when we can expect to see the deployment of this vehicle.
