Mahindra has been on a roll, teasing new concepts and even a new platform that it will showcase on August 15, 2025. The first teaser was the Freedom_NU platform, followed by the Vision.T, Vision.S and Vision.SXT concepts. The latest one is the Vision.X concept. While all three previous teasers seemed to be of large and rugged SUVs, the Vision.X seems to be a smaller SUV with more of a family SUV design language.
The Freedom_NU platform’s teaser showed four colours – white, yellow, orange and grey. The previous three concepts featured the first three colours and the Vision.X has the grey colour, completing the spectrum.
The Vision.T and Vision.SXT are purported to be an evolution of the Thar.e and Global Pik Up concepts. The Vision.S is expected to be the all-electric Scorpio concept and the Vision.X could likely be either a hybrid or an electric version of the XUV 3XO or even a new model in the XUV range, given the Vision.X moniker.
The Freedom_NU platform is likely to underpin all four concepts that Mahindra has teased thus far. It is expected to serve future ICE, EV and even hybrid models from the brand. The new concepts and the Freedom_NU platform will be manufactured at Mahindra’s plant in Chakan, Pune.

Like the other three concepts and the Freedom_NU platform, the Vision.X concept will also be showcased on August 15, 2025. This is in keeping with the trend of launching/revealing new cars, concepts and platforms on August 15 that Mahindra has followed for the past five years.
