Maruti Suzuki has introduced a significant safety upgrade to its mini truck, the Super Carry, incorporating the Electronic Stability Program (ESP). The new system integrates seven safety functions to improve vehicle stability and prevent rollovers, reinforcing the truck's position as a reliable choice for commercial transport. This also makes the Maruti Suzuki Super Carry the first in the mini truck segment to implement this safety feature.
Variant | Prices (ex-showroom, India) |
---|---|
Gasoline Cab Chassis | ₹5.49 lakh |
Gasoline Deck | ₹5.64 lakh |
CNG Cab Chassis | ₹6.49 lakh |
CNG Deck | ₹6.64 lakh |
The ESP system includes an anti-lock brake system (ABS) to prevent wheel lock-up and electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) to optimise braking across different loads. Engine Drag Control (EDC) is designed to prevent wheel slip during sudden deceleration, while the Traction Control System (TCS) helps maintain grip on slippery surfaces. Additional safety features such as rollover prevention, hydraulic brake assist (HBA), and the core ESP system ensure stability during sharp turns and emergency braking situations.
Due to its powerful engine and load-carrying capacity, the Super Carry has already established itself as a dependable commercial vehicle. The latest safety enhancements further strengthen its appeal to businesses relying on efficient and secure transportation.
Equipped with the 1.2L K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The mini truck is currently available through 370+ commercial outlets across 270 cities, catering to sectors such as e-commerce, courier services, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), and general goods distribution.
