Maruti Suzuki managed to achieve this feat within just 10 months of the launch of the Fronx.

Maruti Suzuki has registered 1 lakh sales of the Fronx in just 10 months since its launch. Priced at ₹7.47 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Maruti Suzuki Fronx rivals the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger as well as the Tata Nexon and the Mahindra XUV300. Interestingly, 24 per cent of the sales were comprised of automatic variants of the Fronx, while the company also received a strong response for the re-introduced 1.0-litre turbo Boosterjet Fronx. For the uninitiated, this engine option was available with Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS which was on sale before for a short period.

“Achieving 1 lakh sales in just 10 months demonstrates the exceptional connection Fronx has found with our customers. The Fronx has been instrumental in more than doubling Maruti Suzuki's SUV segment share to 19.7% in CY2023 from 10.4% in 2022,” said Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited. 

As part of the Government of India’s ‘Make In India’ initiative, Maruti Suzuki also started to export the coupe SUV to Latin American, Middle-East, and South Asian markets. So, far the carmaker has exported over 9000 units. The company also said that the popularity of the Fronx has been particularly among young customers, and it believes that its tech-heavy package along with the choice of multiple powertrain options helped make the Fronx a trendsetter in the market.
