Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched the Velocity Edition of the Fronx on more variants. Earlier the Velocity Edition was only available on the Fronx Turbo variants, now it is available on all 14 variants of the subcompact crossover.
Additionally, Maruti Suzuki announced that the Fronx Sigma Velocity Edition variant is available for ₹7.29 (ex-showroom, India) but only for a limited time. The standard Fronx Sigma variant is priced at ₹7.51 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The Velocity Edition gets multiple cosmetic enhancements such as an exterior styling kit, door visors, ORVM covers, headlamp trims and more.
The Sigma Velocity Edition only gets trims on the front bumper, headlamps, wheel arches and the front grille. Over and above this, the Delta, Delta+ and Delta+ (O) trims get body side moulding, illuminated door sill guards and a spoiler extender. Inside, it gets new floor mats with red accents, new seat covers and a carbon-fibre finish styling kit.
Mechanically, nothing has changed with the Fronx. It continues with an 89 bhp, 113 Nm, 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 99 bhp, 148 Nm, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol. Both are mated to either a 5-speed manual but the petrol engine gets a 5-speed AMT and the turbo-petrol gets a 6-speed automatic.
Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki, said, “Achieving 100,000 sales in just ten months is a testament to customers' love for this innovatively designed and sporty compact SUV. By offering the Velocity Edition across all variants of FRONX, we are not just celebrating this success; we are reaffirming our commitment to providing our customers with a wide array of choices, making FRONX an even more compelling option for our discerning customers."
