Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has announced key changes in its top leadership, effective April 1. Shashank Srivastava, the current head of marketing and sales, will join the executive committee, marking a significant move within the company's hierarchy. Taking over Srivastava's role will be Partho Banerjee, bringing with him an extensive 34-year tenure with the company. Meanwhile, Ram Suresh Akella, currently serving as an executive officer in the marketing vertical, will succeed Banerjee as the head of the service division. Akella's appointment underscores the company's commitment to internal talent development, given his 31-year journey with MSIL.

Moreover, the company is poised for structural changes as CV Raman, currently leading the engineering division, is slated to join the executive committee. Tarun Aggarwal, who currently heads the powertrain vertical, will succeed Raman as the head of the engineering division.
In parallel, Maruti Suzuki India achieved a noteworthy milestone by becoming the 19th listed company in India to surpass a market capitalisation of ₹ 4 trillion. This achievement reflects investor confidence and is further evidenced by a 23 per cent increase in the company's shares over the year.

In terms of performance, MSIL reported positive sales figures, having sold 1.607 million passenger vehicles during the April-February period of the fiscal year, marking a healthy 14.45 per cent year-on-year growth.
