Maruti Suzuki Sales Rise 7.3% to 213,995 Units in February 2026

Maruti Suzuki India Limited reported total sales of 213,995 units in February 2026. This figure includes domestic sales of 164,000 units, sales to other original equipment manufacturers, and exports of 39,155 units.

The company sold 199,400 units in February 2025. Sales in February 2026 show an increase of 7.3 per cent year-on-year.

Maruti Suzuki Sales Past 6 Months

Maruti Suzuki sales figures for the past six months follow a pattern. In September 2025, the company recorded 189,665 units. Sales rose to 199,400 units in February 2026 from lower volumes in earlier months. Production data for February 2026 reached 223,507 units, which covers passenger vehicles at 219,612 units and light commercial vehicles at 3,895 units.

The mini segment, which includes Alto and S-Presso, posted 15,783 units. Compact cars such as Baleno, Dzire, Swift and WagonR totalled 88,084 units. Utility vehicles like Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx and XL6 accounted for 102,834 units.

Domestic passenger vehicle sales stood at 161,000 units in February 2026, compared to 160,791 units in February 2025.

Comparison with Rivals

Hyundai Motor India sold 66,134 units in February 2026, with domestic sales at 52,407 units. Mahindra reported 60,018 passenger vehicles, part of total auto sales of 97,177 units. Tata Motors took the second position overall, with sales close to Mahindra.

Kia India retailed 27,610 units. Maruti Suzuki holds the top position with 213,995 units, four times Hyundai's volume and over twice Mahindra's passenger vehicle sales.

Maruti Suzuki maintains market leadership in India car sales February 2026. The data shows growth in utility vehicles and exports supports its position against rivals like Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra in passenger car market share.
