The new GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ produces 27 bhp and 50 Nm more than the standard GT 63.
Mercedes-AMG has revealed another variant of the GT sports car lineup. The GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ is here with even more power than the standard GT 63, as it produces 603 bhp and 850 Nm. Along with more power, the GT 63 Pro gets better aerodynamics and cooling.
Powering the GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ is the same 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 27 bhp and 50 Nm more than the standard GT 63. Mercedes-AMG claims the new variant can do the 0-100 kmph run in 3.2 seconds, and 0-200 kmph in 10.9 seconds. The top speed of the GT 63 Pro is 317 kmph.
Mercedes-AMG gets bigger air intakes in the bumpers, which have a bigger front diffuser to channel more air. At the back, it has a fixed rear wing to increase downforce. Mercedes-AMG claims the aerodynamic lift on the front axle has been reduced by more than 30 kg and on the rear axle by 15 kg. It also gets Mercedes-AMG One-style under the body to improve airflow.
To further reduce the weight of the GT 63 Pro 4Matic+, the backs of the disc brakes are now made of titanium. Furthermore, Mercedes-AMG claims that these are the largest standard ceramic brakes ever fitted to any of its models. Even the 21-inch alloy wheels are lighter than the standard GT 63. As standard, it gets Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres but Pilot Sport Cup 2R racing-derived tyres are available as a no-cost option.
The GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ gets an improved cooling system. The left and right front wheel arches get new radiators to improve the cooling of the powertrain. Even the differentials and the transfer case for the all-wheel drive system get new radiators for better cooling.
Along with all these aforementioned upgrades, the GT 63 Pro gets AMG’s Active Ride Control system as standard. With this, it gets active roll stabilisation and rear-axle steering. Inside, it gets AMG Performance bucket seats as standard that provide better support. The exterior gets a carbon fibre extravaganza that extends to the front and rear diffusers, bumper inserts and the wing.
