Mercedes-Benz is set to introduce its new CLE Cabriolet to the Indian market today. Positioned in the luxury convertible segment, the CLE Cabriolet's price is expected to range between ₹1 crore and ₹1.10 crore (ex-showroom, India). The model will be available in the CLE 300 4MATIC variant.
The exterior of the CLE Cabriolet boasts sophisticated design elements, including LED headlamps and striking 20-inch wheels. A key feature is its folding soft top, which can be raised or lowered in just 20 seconds at speeds of up to 60 kmph, allowing for quick transitions between open-air and enclosed driving experiences.
Inside, the CLE Cabriolet offers a luxurious cabin fitted with a portrait-oriented touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, and premium leather upholstery. The vehicle is designed to accommodate four passengers comfortably, with a full-fledged second row. Additionally, the model includes advanced connected car technology and various driver assistance systems, enhancing both convenience and safety.
Under the hood, the CLE 300 4MATIC variant features a 2.0-litre, inline-4 turbo with mild-hybrid drive, 251 bhp @ 5800 rpm, and 400 Nm of torque at 2000-3200 rpm. This powertrain will be paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
While the CLE Cabriolet has yet to undergo BNCAP or GNCAP crash testing, it is equipped with a range of safety features typical of Mercedes-Benz's rigorous standards. As of now, the CLE Cabriolet has no direct competitors in its segment.
