Mercedes-Benz India confirms the launch of the EQA electric crossover for the Indian market, however, the company did not share a timeline for the launch of its latest EV. In an exclusive interview with Acko Drive, Santosh Iyer, MD & CEO, of Mercedes-Benz India said the EQA will surely come to India, however, it's too early to comment on the exact timeline for the launch.

Santosh Iyer, MD & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India said, "We will 3 new EVs in the Indian market this year, but it is too early to comment if the EQA will be one. However, do wait for us to confirm this officially, and we will do it soon."
Earlier this year, at the launch of the Mercedes-Benz GLS, the company shared its strategy for 2024, confirming 3 new EVs for India, and we think the EQA could be one of them. The other two EVs could be the EQS SUV and the EQE sedan. EVs currently comprise 5 per cent of the company's total sales but they're steadily rising and the EQA could help boost that number. At present, the company retails 3 EVs in India, the Mercedes-Benz EQS sedan, the Mercedes-Benz EQB, and the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV.
