Mercedes-Benz India is gearing up to kickstart 2025 with the launch of two highly anticipated products on January 9. Among them are the EQS SUV 450, a new variant in the EQS SUV lineup, and the iconic electric G-Class. The EQS SUV 450 variant, like its sibling, the EQS SUV 580, will be locally assembled at Mercedes-Benz’s facility in India, showcasing the brand's dedication to making luxury EVs more accessible and sustainable.
The Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV 450 will cater to the growing demand for luxury electric SUVs with advanced features and exceptional performance. Equipped with a 122 kWh battery pack, the EQS SUV 450 delivers 365 bhp and a maximum torque of 800 Nm. These figures enable the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.1 seconds. The vehicle boasts an impressive range of 673 km on a single charge. The EQS SUV 450 will feature a 5-seater configuration, catering to families and individuals seeking a spacious yet stylish electric vehicle. It will debut with the ‘Electric Art’ exterior styling, accentuated by 21-inch black, light-alloy wheels with a sheen finish.
The EQS SUV lineup, which currently includes the flagship EQS 580 variant, will be broadened by the addition of the EQS 450. While the EQS 580 is known for its dual-motor all-wheel-drive system and enhanced luxury features, the EQS 450 offers a slightly different proposition with an emphasis on range and efficiency.
