Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the electric C-Class with up to 762 km range, 483 bhp output, fast charging and advanced tech, marking the sedan’s transition to a dedicated EV platform.
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the all-new electric C-Class, marking the first time its mid-size sedan is offered as a fully electric model. Built on a dedicated EV platform, the new model brings significant updates across powertrain, range, design and in-car technology.
The electric C-Class will debut in the US, with launches in other markets to follow based on regulatory conditions. There is no confirmation yet regarding its introduction in India.
The electric C-Class is equipped with a 94 kWh battery pack and an 800V electrical architecture. It offers a claimed WLTP range of up to 762 km. The C 400 4MATIC variant produces 483 bhp and can accelerate from 0-100kph in 4.0 seconds.

The model supports DC fast charging of up to 330 kW, enabling a range addition of up to 325km in just 10 minutes under WLTP conditions. It also features a two-speed transmission on the rear axle, designed to optimise both performance and efficiency.
Additional hardware includes optional rear-axle steering, which reduces the turning circle to 11.2 metres, and air suspension with adaptive damping. The electric sedan offers a boot capacity of 470 litres, along with a 101-litre front trunk, and can tow up to 1.8 tonnes.
The exterior adopts a coupe-like silhouette with a sloping roofline and fastback-style rear. Up front, the car features an illuminated grille with a central star and LED headlamps integrating multiple lighting functions. The daytime running lamps feature star-shaped elements, consistent with newer Merc models such as the S-Class, CLA, EQS, and GLC EV.

At the rear, the car gets star-pattern tail-lamps and a rounded design. It has a drag coefficient starting at 0.22, aimed at improving aerodynamic efficiency.
Inside, the electric C-Class features a redesigned cabin centred around a 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen that integrates multiple displays. The system runs on Mercedes’ MB.OS and supports over-the-air updates, along with an AI-based virtual assistant and navigation that accounts for charging requirements.
Other features include a panoramic glass roof, ambient lighting, multi-zone climate control, and electrically adjustable seats with memory, ventilation and massage functions. The model is also equipped with a suite of driver assistance systems supported by cameras and sensors.
