Alongside the Fortuner, the MG Majestor will also lock horns with similarly priced monocoque SUVs like the Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian, and VW Tayron.
JSW MG Motor India has launched the Majestor SUV as its new flagship internal combustion engine offering, with prices starting from ₹40.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Replacing the Gloster, the Majestor enters the full size three row SUV segment to primarily compete against the Toyota Fortuner, which starts at ₹37.61 lakh for its diesel automatic variant.
While the Majestor retains the ladder frame chassis of its predecessor, the exterior has been heavily redesigned for a more imposing look. The front features a split headlight setup, a larger grille with vertical LED strips, and prominent ‘MORRIS GARAGES’ lettering. At the rear, it gets a connected LED tail lamp design and a dual exhaust system.
The interior has been refreshed with an all-black theme and a revised dashboard layout. Available in both six and seven seat configurations, the MG Majestor offers a boot capacity of 343 litres with all rows in place, expandable to 1,350 litres.

The feature list is extensive, including dual 12.3-inch screens, a panoramic sunroof, a 12 speaker JBL sound system, and Level 2 ADAS. For off road enthusiasts, the vehicle offers ten terrain modes and sits on new 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in all terrain tyres.
Powering the Majestor is the familiar 2.0-litre twin turbo diesel engine that produces 212 bhp and 479 Nm of peak torque. This engine is paired with an eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission. A manual gearbox is not on offer here.
