MG Majestor prices will be announced on April 20, 2026. The flagship diesel SUV will rival the Fortuner, Tayron, and Kodiaq in the Indian market.
JSW MG Motor India has confirmed that prices for the all-new MG Majestor will be announced on April 20, 2026. Positioned as the brand’s flagship internal combustion SUV, the Majestor is expected to eventually replace the Gloster in the company’s India line-up.
The SUV will be offered in two trims, Sharp and Savvy, and is expected to be priced between ₹40 lakh and ₹45 lakh (ex-showroom). It will take on rivals such as the Toyota Fortuner, VW Tayron, and Skoda Kodiaq in the full-size SUV segment.
Powering the Majestor is a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine sourced from the higher-spec Gloster. This unit produces 212 bhp and 478.5 Nm of torque and is paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The SUV also features a four-wheel-drive system with low-range capability, along with three locking differentials and multiple terrain modes including Snow, Rock, Sand, Mud and Normal.
In terms of design, the Majestor adopts a bold, upright stance with a large grille, vertically stacked LED headlamps and sleek LED daytime running lamps. It rides on 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and features body cladding, side steps and connected LED tail-lamps for a more rugged appearance.
Inside, the cabin features a black theme with silver accents and dual 12.4-inch displays for infotainment and instrumentation. The SUV will be available in both six- and seven-seat configurations with leatherette upholstery.
Key features include a panoramic sunroof, 3-zone climate control, powered front seats with ventilation and massage functions, a 12-speaker JBL audio system, ambient lighting and dual wireless chargers. Safety equipment includes six airbags, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, TPMS, hill assist functions and an electronic parking brake.
