MG Motor India will integrate Jio's digital assets into the Comet EV
MG Motor India has partnered with Jio Platforms to introduce a range of connected car features in its newly launched Comet EV (review). This strategic partnership aims to revolutionize the driving experience and establish MG Motor India as a key player in the connected car space.
"The MGI-Jio partnership will ensure our newly launched MG Comet EV enriches the driving experience for GenZ customers while ensuring safety and In-Car experiences backed by great technology," said Mr Gaurav Gupta, Deputy Managing Director, MG Motor India.
As part of the association, MG Motor India will integrate Jio's digital assets into the Comet EV, offering seamless connectivity and a range of innovative features. The MG Comet EV has the industry-first Hinglish Voice Assistant system integrated with music apps, payment apps, connectivity platforms, and more.
The Hello Jio Voice Assistant, integrated into the Comet EV, understands:
Diverse regional dialects and tonality of Indian speakers.
Allows users to interact using voice commands.
Provides information about various events such as cricket, weather, news, and horoscope.
It also lets users control the air conditioning, play songs, and even inquire about cricket scores via simple voice commands.
One of the standout features of the Comet EV is the integration of Jio's state-of-the-art eSIM, which plays a crucial role in vehicle safety. This eSIM is integrated during the manufacturing process, enabling secure communication and vehicle identification while in operation.
Mr Ashish Lodha, President of Jio Platforms said, "HelloJio Voice Assistant, Streaming, Payment Apps, eSIM, Jio IOT will enable MG users to access real-time connectivity, infotainment, and connected car experiences with a new dimension of "Talk to your car"."
The introduction of Jio's Hinglish Voice Assistant system and the incorporation of an eSIM highlight MG Motor India's commitment to leveraging the latest technologies and offering customers a connected and safe driving experience.
