The rear seats can recline up to 135 degrees.

JSW MG Motor India continues to tease its upcoming EV, the Windsor ahead of its launch this festive season. This time, the company has revealed its rear seats, which can recline up to 135 degrees—one of the highest degrees of adjustment available in its segment.

The Windsor EV’s design also takes inspiration from its Chinese counterpart, the Wuling Cloud EV. Notably, the Wuling Cloud EV allows the forward seat to be flipped down, creating a lounge-like seating arrangement for the rear occupant. While it's not confirmed whether this feature will be available in the India-spec model, its inclusion would be a welcome addition.

The teaser offers a glimpse of the Windsor EV’s interior, which features black upholstery with quilt-like stitching and gold accents, providing a premium aesthetic. Ambient lighting can be seen streaking across the door panels. Rear-seat passengers are treated to additional amenities such as rear AC vents and a central armrest.

Like other MG vehicles, the Windsor EV is expected to be packed with features. Anticipated equipment includes a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8.8-inch digital driver’s display, automatic climate control, a wireless phone charger, a panoramic sunroof, and multi-colour ambient lighting.

In terms of performance, the Windsor EV is expected to be powered by a 134 bhp electric motor, drawing energy from a 50.6 kWh battery pack. This setup offers a claimed range of 460 km, as per the China Light Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC). Additionally, a variant with a smaller 37.9 kWh battery pack is available in other international markets, providing a range of 360 km. These figures, if replicated in India, would place the Windsor EV on par with its competitors in the electric vehicle segment.

MG is expected to price the Windsor EV starting around ₹20 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it as a direct competitor to the Tata Nexo.ev, Mahindra XUV400, and even the entry-level variants of the Tata Curvv.ev.
