Motorola Edge 50 Launches At Rs 27,999 in India: Specs & Availability

Motorola has officially unveiled its latest addition to the Edge series, the Motorola Edge 50, in India. The Edge 50 joins the Edge 50 Pro, Edge 50 Fusion and Edge 50 Ultra with impressive features that position it as a strong contender in the mid-range segment.

The Edge 50 features a 6.67-inch 1.5K pOLED curved display, offering a 120Hz refresh rate and a claimed peak brightness of 1,900 nits. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and supports HDR10+.

The Edge 50 comes in three colour options: Jungle Green, Pantone Peach Fuzz with a vegan leather finish and Koala Grey with a vegan suede finish.

Motorola claims that the Edge 50 is the slimmest MIL-810H-rated curved smartphone in the segment, coupled with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

At the heart of the Edge 50 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition chipset, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The phone runs on Android 14 with Motorola's Hello UI overlay.

The triple rear camera setup is headlined by a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia 700C primary sensor with optical image stabilization. This is complemented by a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 10-megapixel telephoto shooter capable of 3x optical zoom. For selfies, there's a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Edge 50 has a 5,000mAh battery supporting 68W wired and 15W wireless charging speeds. Additional features include Dolby Atmos-backed dual-stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and support for 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2.

The Motorola Edge 50 is priced at ₹27,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant. It will be available for purchase starting August 8 through Flipkart, Motorola's official website, and offline stores.
