Motorola Launches Edge 50 Fusion in India

Motorola has launched its new mid-range smartphone, the Edge 50 Fusion, in India. The device was unveiled globally last month and will go on sale in India from May 22. Motorola's claim to fame for the Edge 50 Fusion is that it is the only IP68 water and dust-resistant phone in its price segment of under Rs 25,000.

It features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The screen claims to offer a peak brightness of 1600 nits. The Edge 50 Fusion is available in three colour options— Marshmallow Blue, Forest Blue and Hot Pink.

The Edge 50 Fusion is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor and features up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device runs Android 14 out of the box, and Motorola has promised three major OS upgrades.

In terms of optics, the Edge 50 Fusion comes with a triple rear camera setup headlined by a 50MP camera that uses a Sony sensor. It also packs a 13MP ultra-wide lens and a 32MP front camera for selfies.

The Edge 50 Fusion has a 5000mAh battery with 68W fast charging support. Motorola claims it can be charged from 0 to 100% in just 30 minutes. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 5G connectivity, dual SIM support, and stereo speakers.

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion price in India starts at Rs 22,999 for the 8GB+128GB model and Rs 24,999 for the 12GB+256GB variant. It will be available from May 22 via Flipkart, Motorola's website and offline stores.
