Designed on the Modular Architecture (MMA) platform, the Concept CLA Class combines iconic design with dynamic performance.
Mercedes-Benz has taken the wraps off its highly anticipated Concept CLA Class at the IAA Mobility 2023 event in Munich, Germany. This innovative concept car provides a sneak peek into the brand's upcoming family of vehicles, set to redefine the entry-level electric car segment. Designed on the forthcoming Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA) platform, the Concept CLA Class combines iconic design with dynamic performance. The vehicle's exterior aesthetics hint at a thrilling driving experience, while the interior is tailored to offer exceptional comfort and convenience for the digital age.

What makes the Concept CLA Class stand out is its impressive range and sustainability. It is touted as a "hypermiler," with a range of over 750 km in the WLTP standard and a remarkable energy consumption rate of just 12 kWh per 100 km. This aligns with Mercedes-Benz's commitment to achieve net carbon neutrality across its new vehicle fleet by 2039.

Underpinning the Concept CLA Class is the Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA) platform, which houses a next-generation electric-drive system with an ambitious range target. This platform is engineered to accommodate a family of four vehicles, encompassing various body styles, and plays a pivotal role in Mercedes-Benz's electrification strategy.

Safety remains a top priority, with all MMA platform vehicles adhering to the "real-life safety" philosophy. Mercedes-Benz, known for setting safety standards for decades, continues to strive for accident-free driving. In terms of technology, the Concept CLA Class introduces the new operating system "MB.OS," offering an unparalleled user interface and user experience (UI/UX) through the MBUX Superscreen. This technology is derived from the innovative display in the Vision EQXX, which features advanced real-time graphics.

Sustainability takes centre stage in the Concept CLA Class, with the use of eco-friendly materials throughout its structure and interior. This includes nearly CO₂-free steel, CO₂-reduced aluminium, sustainably produced leather upholstery, and trim made from paper. Mercedes-Benz's Concept CLA Class marks a significant step in the brand's journey towards electrification, sustainability, and cutting-edge technology. It represents a promising future for luxury electric vehicles that cater to the desires of a youthful and dynamic global market segment.
